Hey — I'm MingZ. Senior software engineer focused on AI and cloud, based in Vancouver. By day I ship .NET + React systems on Azure. After hours I build AI agents, MCP servers, and automation that makes my own workflows faster.

My day-to-day stack is .NET, React, Azure, and TypeScript. Lately I've been deep into AI agents, the Model Context Protocol, and wiring up Home Assistant with a UniFi network that has more VLANs than it probably needs.

I studied at NAIT (Digital Media & IT) and the University of Alberta (MSc Multimedia). Most of what I actually know came from building stuff and breaking stuff.

Outside of code

I cook a lot, ski in the winter, and spend too much time tweaking my smart home. My UniFi dashboard has more uptime than most production systems I've worked on.
